There is nothing quite like a Myrtle Beach vacation. It can be restful or adventurous, quiet or boisterous, serene or dramatic, depending on your own desires.
But before you drive here or book your flight, you'll want to invest some time in investigating the different types of lodging that are available.
From small mom and pop hotels that are decades old, to huge resorts with world-class style, Myrtle Beach offers it all.
The Monterey Bay Suites, pictured on the right, and previously known as the Patricia North, possesses one of the finest expanses of beach in the entire Myrtle Beach area. There, you can stroll, sunbathe, go shelling, build sandcastles, or just daydream.
The hotel itself is gorgeous, having undergone a million-dollar renovation in 2002.
Each guest suite has been re-decorated and re-furnished, with new carpet and tile. All the suites include two rooms with full kitchens, two TVs, and queen beds.
The hotel is also equipped with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a lazy river, and two Jacuzzis. Each day, guests can treat themselves to free breakfast buffets and daily Bingo.
Check out the Hampton Inn & Suites® Oceanfront, for centrally-located accommodations. This hotel is a tourist-class facility situated one-and-a-half miles from downtown Myrtle Beach and a mile from the Myrtle Beach Airport. The hotel is also in the vicinity of numerous restaurants, shops, and clubs. The hotel's guestrooms are spacious and have breathtaking views of the ocean--a lovely fringe benefit.
Another hotel is the Blue Bay Resort, which is about three-and-a-half miles from Myrtle Beach Jetport and known for its amenities and for promoting an air of relaxation and tranquility. The professional staff is well-known for its hospitality. The hotel is also adjacent to shopping centers and factory outlets, and some of the most-visited tourist attractions.
For a different kind of hotel experience, consider the Staybridge Suites, pictured to the left above. This charming hotel is located ten minutes from the airport. Among the hotel's unusual amenities are a barbeque pavilion and a guest library with a computer terminal. The hotel also provides a daily deluxe continental breakfast bar. If you have a disability, you can stay in one of the hotel's ADA-approved rooms. In order to check in, a guest must be over the age of 21.
And there you have it--a description of some of Myrtle Beach's finest accommodations, offering a winning combination of luxury and affordability.
